A hamburger for $2.85? I haven’t had a burger that cheap since I broke up with McDonalds seven years ago!
Across from SFU Downtown (near the Waterfront Canadaline stop), the $2.85 Hamburger Cart sells two things – and two things only. One obviously being the hamburger for $2.85. Slap on another 65 cents and they’ll slap on a slice of cheese.
Simple cart, simple menu, simple burger. There were the typical fixings of lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on a toasted bun. The patty was cooked pretty well. While it wasn’t exactly squishy with juice, it wasn’t dry either. It was also brushed with some cart-made teriyaki sauce.
The teriyaki sauce definitely made the burger more delicious. The intermingle of sweet and savoury just can’t be beat, especially at this price!
